Does self hypnosis really help in becoming a top Athlete? I heard that Tyson did it.

Some of the biggest names in sports have used hypnosis-and self hypnosis is the ‘homework’ a hypnotherapist has you do! Hypnosis helps you get 'In the zone'.

Tiger Woods, Shaquille O’Neil, Wayne Gretzky, etc. have used hypnosis for sports performance and to conquer performance anxiety.

I used hypnosis on my husband and he won Best Lifter at the local powerlifting event, even though he battles chronic health issues and wasn’t having the greatest day. The lift he went for (and succeeded ) was 625 pounds weighing in at 190. Hypnosis helped Chad Shaw's mindset to allow him to set state powerlifting records under adverse circumstances.

He has used the hypnosis I gave him (which he turned into self-hypnosis when he needed it) to deadlift up to 645 pounds at other times, where his previous lifts were 600–615.

Again we used it and he went on to set two state powerlifting records with the WABDL - performing 4 lifts (highly unusual - usually they have 3 lifts but he used a hail Mary - pulling 639 pounds - 90 seconds after pulling up 617, which is virtually no recorery time).

After his leg wobbled on his second lift causing a 'No Lift' status, I went back stage and refreshed his hypnosis and shouted the anchors I used for him when he was about to lift. He said that helped him achieve his goal and then some.

Hypnosis is a very powerful tool to achieve pretty much anything you want in life. It is successful because it doesn’t take that much time to re-wire your brain for success whether you are 16 or 65.

Hypnosis helps mindset with sports performance - allowing you to get 'in the zone".
