Confidentiality

A question I get a lot: "Do hypnotists have to follow HIPAA?"
Technically, HIPAA applies to medical providers and insurance. As a Certified Hypnotist I'm not a medical provider — but ethically, I hold myself to the same standard of confidentiality.
That means: No sharing your private information. No identifying you as a client to anyone, ever. Written consent is required before I would ever share anything, and even then, only what you specifically approve.
When you work with me, your privacy is protected with the same seriousness you'd expect from your doctor or therapist.
