What does being under hypnosis feel like?

The experience of being in hypnosis (we don’t like to say ‘under’ hypnosis) feels like floating in the state between waking and sleeping. You are aware, yet very, very relaxed.
It is quite pleasant. It is a natural state that occurs right before dropping into sleep and right after waking up, you are naturally in this state at least twice a day.
This is why alarm clocks bother some people, alarms make you skip past this part very quickly and go from delta sleep to wide awake, skipping the hypnotic state.
You may also experience time distortion like when you are asleep - it is like far less time has passed - if you are in hypnosis for an hour it can feel like 10 or twenty minutes.
