Do soul mates exist? Are they real or fictitious?

Updated: Jul 20

While there is no scientific tests you can run to evaluate the situation, I am still going to give this an emphatic “YES.” Soul mates exist.

Since I have personal experience with this I am qualified to answer. I was looking at his social media profile and a small voice said “that’s going to be your next husband “. I fought with it, arguing that he lived on the opposite side of the country. There were many other things, but as far as a physical feature it would be the eyes. After morning after meeting him in person, I had this interesting vision upon waking that was just like looking at a close up well lit photo of just his eyes. I was not trying to imagine it, it was like the picture was just placed there.

Bruce Lipton (a cell biologist) wrote about how his wife reacted when she first saw him (she did not even see his face!) in his book ‘The Honeymoon Effect’. I believe it was in the epilogue. She gasped and it hit her like a ton of bricks - when she saw the back of his head! It was his energy she recognized.

Personally, I can vouch for that as the same happened to me when I saw my soul mate - now my husband, and the same thing happened to him. It literally takes your breath away (which is probably the way for that expression "took my breath away" came about!) I saw him walk through the door and the Cupid analogy could not hold a candle to it. Bruce Lipton has come the closest to scientifically describing what happened in his book The Honeymoon Effect, given his background as a cell biologist who worked at Stanford and the University of Wisconsin.

Doctors Michael Newton and Brian Weiss (and a whole range of other hypnotherapists) performed thousands upon thousands of past life and life between lives hypnosis sessions. A large number of the subjects have similar reports of sharing past lives with their soul mates and some report classes they took in the spirit world to recognize them while living on earth. The classes involved noticing markers that would help them realize that this is the one.

These markers would include things such as the way the person laughed, the way they looked in their workout attire, their eyes, their jokes, etc. I found this particular interesting since I had the same experience with the eyes.
